Safety

Swift & Staley has received the Governor’s Safety and Health Award from the Kentucky Department of Labor for the past six of seven years. This award recognizes companies who have demonstrated outstanding safety and health performance in the prevention of significant occupational injuries and illnesses.

In August 2018, Swift & Staley reached one million hours worked without an injury resulting in a lost workday. This represents roughly three years of work without a significant injury and is directly attributable to Swift & Staley’s safety culture and daily efforts to identify and control unsafe work conditions.
